Martha Sesteaga joined the University of Arizona in 2004 as a student studying Criminal Justice and Spanish. She started working at UA in 2006 in the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid and has held various positions on campus since then. She earned a Master’s in Public Administration in 2011 and recently completed a Ph.D. in Higher Education. Since 2017, she has worked in Academic Administration, where she currently manages academic and non-academic fee structures as Program Manager for University Fees. Her work and research focus on equity and access in higher education. She has contributed to shared governance and staff advocacy through her service on the University of Arizona Staff Council, the Latinx Faculty and Staff Association, the Commission on the Status of Women, and Arizona Women in Higher Education. She is dedicated to supporting UASC’s mission with integrity, accountability, and inclusive excellence.

Outside of work, she enjoys CrossFit, Pilates, hiking, painting, traveling, spending time with family, friends, and her fur babies, as well as attending UA sports events.
